''Transparency builds trust and we are a brand that can be trusted.''
- Phoebe Parry, Founder.
Our swing tags are made from Bamboo harvested in China. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants, extremely water efficient and can rapidly regenerate. Once cut by local workers, the stalk is left in the ground and will be ready to re harvest within 2-3 years.
As a result of this, bamboo harvesting provides jobs and economic development.
SWING TAGS
The print on our tags are made using vegetable inks and the string used to attach them to your garments are made from GOTS certified organic cotton. The tags are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, SGS and EMtek certified which verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production.
Once produced, the tags are then shipped to our UK factory.
LABELS
Our clothing labels are made using 100% recycled polyester. Its raw material comes from PET which is derived from post consumer waste products such as clear plastic water bottles, that would have other wise ended up in landfill.
The process which takes place in China, involves melting down the PET and then spinning it to make yarn.
The yarn is then shipped to our UK supplier.
The yarn is then woven into our labels and are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified which verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production.
The labels are then shipped to our UK factory.
WAISTBAND
Our elastic waistbands are made from natural rubber and begin their process in Malaysia. Latex (rubber milk) is collected from the Hevea Brasilienesis tree by a process called tapping; cuts are made to allow the latex to flow freely. It is then filtered, diluted with water and coagulated allowing it to be rolled, rinsed and dried in natural sunlight. The rubber sheets are then shipped to our manufacturer in Austria.
We use a family run factory who use a specialist machine to weave the rubber with GOTS certified organic cotton sourced from Turkey (All practices are in accordance with European Union Regulations).
The tapes are then shipped to our UK supplier who ship to our UK manufacturer.
THREAD
The thread we use on all of our garments are made from Tencel, a 100% cellulose material made from wood pulp. The raw material comes from Austria before it is manufactured into thread in Portugal. Our supplier prides themselves in working towards minimising their carbon footprint and impact their practices have on the environment. Sustainability is at the heart of their business which echos our ethical standards.
All our threads are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified.
